About

The Arbuckle Story

In 1967, George “Tom” Arbuckle took a high school job pumping gas for a small auto shop in Needham, Massachusetts. Through this job, Tom grew his passion for cars and developed this into a career. He worked his way up the ladder through school to eventually become a top mechanic in the shop. For nearly 20 years, Tom remained a devoted employee of this small shop.

Tom’s hard work and loyalty over the years earned him the opportunity to purchase the business. In 1984, G.T. Arbuckle’s was born.

In 1993, Tom’s eldest son George began pumping gas for the shop, following in his father’s footsteps. He took every opportunity to learn from his father and eventually began working as a mechanic in the shop just 3 short years later. Even after George began attending Babson College to begin his business degree, he worked nights at the shop to continue educating himself and building his career. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Babson in 2000. George took over the business in 2004 when Tom stepped down for retirement.
